Traveled from Fredericksburg to Alamo, Texas today. Stopped in Kerrville at Louise Hayes Park saw some Cedar Waxwings, Coots, and several Clay-colored Sparrows. The park is located right on the Guadalupe River.
Lunch time had us stopping in Bandera, Cowboy Capital of the World. We ate at the O.S.T. Restaurant (Old Spanish Trail). There was a John Wayne Room and the seats at the bar were saddles.
Arrived at the Alamo Inn B & B around 6:00 p.m. Our room has a stove, refrigerator/freezer and full kitchen. We can go out, cook our own meals, or go to the main building and fix breakfast and/or lunch for $3.00 a meal. There is also a full bookstore catering to birders. Keith, the host, provided us with birding hot spot lists, good restaurants, and other information. On our way here we saw 19 Northern Caracaras.

Pictures today:
Guadalupe River, O.S.T. Restaurant, and a Scissor-tailed Flycatcher.
