John left after breakfast to go to the west end of the shuttle line, Hermit's Rest. He was going to hike the Hermit's Rest Trail. He was gone most of the day, having continued onto the Dripping Springs Trail, which gave him a total of almost 7 miles.

Last night at 8:00, Karen held a meeting at the Yavapai cafeteria to talk about the room assignments and who was starting on which trail on Thursday morning to go down into the canyon.

Judy Wilson then talked about the Wednesday hike along the Rim Trail. Denver would be leading, with everyone hiking as far as they wanted to go, then catching a shuttle back.
