The hikers left on the 8:30 a.m. shuttle for Angel's Landing. Tony, Deb, Roslyn, Dawn, and I rode
in Tony's car through the park to the Canyon Overlook Trailhead, which is between the two tunnels on the east side of the park. Tony, Deb and Ros hiked it, while Dawn and I bird watched from the parking area.
When they returned, we tried to visit the Nature Center, which is near the South Campground, but it was closed for staff meeting.
We stopped at the Photography Museum, Fatalli's Photography shop, and a gift shop. Checked out the road the Community Center is on for parking availability in case anyone want to attend the Flute and Drum Concert tonight.
Ate lunch at Blondie's Cafe, and took leftovers back to the motel.
Then we drove toward the west and stopped at various restaurants to check out the menus for dinner tonight. Tony made reservations for the group for tomorrow night at the Majestic View Steakhouse.
Dropped Deb and Ros at the Flying Monkey to check it out. They were going to check out other
shops on their way back to the motel. The rest of us came back to rest.
Hikers are back. They also did the Middle Emerald Pool trail, so that took a little longer.
Dinner tonight at Pizza and Noodles. Excellent veggie lasagna.
More from Zion tomorrow...
